Andrea was born in Italy and after working for long in fashion he came to South Africa almost two decades ago, and needless to say, he immediately felt in love with the country.
The beauty of the his new country of residence and the enchanting African Content, pushed Andrea to travel. What is most wonderful about Andrea’s travels is the power that he absorbed while discovering new places and new adventures and once returning from the journeys he wanted to pass his joy to other people. This was reason enough for him to begin his first adventure website called South Africa Vacanze.
The website was focusing on inbound travels for the Italian market and was especially promoting cycle tours and the popular ritalian race called “The 9 Colli”.
South Africa Vacanze took a little break while Andrea another of his dreams and passion. Restaurant. About a decade later, together with two of his blood cousins from Italy they opened “The Cousin’s” Trattoria in Cape Town city centre. In this process South Africa Vacanze was not forgotten but it took a little break.
After 8 years being still present but away from tourism, Andrea and Antonio have decided to awake South Africa Vacanze, rebranding it with the name EurAfric which this time will be both inbound and outbound.
Antonio was born in Italy and after his language studies he decided to move to London in order to improve his knowledge of the English language.
His first job was in one of the top London addresses – the Mandarin Oriental London.Antonio’s deep passion for hospitality allowed him to further his career in top addresses of London’s luxury travel market such as Le Merididen, The Goring, The Langham Hotel and Brown’s (part of the Rocco Forte Collection).
With over 14 years of experience in the hospitality market and his extensive leisure and business travels, in 2009 Antonio decided to move from the UK and embrace new hospitality opportunities in Cape Town, South Africa.
The beauty of South Africa and the breath-taking nature and wild life of the continent made him want to discover more and to convey to people who want to travel to Africa -what is the African Fever of feeling so passionate about a continent and it’s gracious people.
For this reasons, after collaborating with 3 Hotels since he arrived in 2009 (including the newly opened TAJ, the Parliament Hotel and Compass House), Antonio decided to take on board a brand new adventure.
Following a customary Italian coffee chat inspiration flowed and both Andrea and Antonio decided to resuscitate “Southafrica Vacanze” rebranding it with the name Eurfric – to make people feel the strong connection between travelling continents and the love and passion for travels. Antonio is also a qualified Tour Guide for the Cape. He is passionate about Europe and Africa and wishes to transmit these passionate engagements with two continents to fellow travellers and adventurers alike.
